David Udry has two passions, education and India. He started his career as an educator at the age of 16, teaching about nature in summer camps. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a Master’s degree in International Education Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, David started teaching and counselling students at Long Island University and the Community College of Vermont. His passion for India started when he studied Tamil at Madurai Kamaraj University in 1989. In 2007 he decided to marry both passions and moved to India to lead international schools. He has led Mount Litera School International-Mumbai, Himalayan International Residential School and GEMS Genesis International School in Ahmedabad. He is an avid outdoorsman and skier.
