The Plenum School is located at Nahan, nestled in the Himalayan foothills with pine forest surrounding the valley. The pollution-free air is fresh and fragrant. The whistling pines, pristine dew and view of snow-capped Churdhar range leave a magic upon the spirit. The sunset is magnificent. The full moon seems to be rising from the nearby hill. Looking around, you see the poetry of nature come to life.

The location was specifically chosen to shield our students from the distractions of everyday life, enabling them to commit themselves entirely to learn, reflect and develop into leaders of tomorrow.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE

The school has an infirmary with separate wards for boys and girls, for meeting any health contingencies. A resident doctor, nurse and a patient transfer vehicle equipped with basic life support systems are available round the clock. In addition, the school has local tie ups with hospitals and doctors of repute. All students are covered by a health insurance scheme. Within a short drive from the school there is a government hospital at Sarahan and a medical college at Nahan. In addition, treatment can also be availed at the PGI Chandigarh and other hospitals of repute.

 

SECURITY

The school is enclosed by a 14 foot high boundary wall. Round the clock CCTV surveillance is further augmented by male and female security personnel. The guards are trained by a veteran from the elite Para-Commandos.

The school adheres to all the safety norms prescribed by the Government of India and the school Boards. The school premises are a no smoking zone The Girls’ Hostels have separate female conservancy staff as well as female security personnel. Only lady teachers and staff have access to the Girls’ Hostels.
